In July 2017 I visited Ammassalik Island on the East Coast of Greenland which is separated from the mainland of Greenland by the wide Sermilik Fjord in the west, and by the Ikaasartivaq Strait in the northeast. The Ammassalik area of East Greenland, an isolated wilderness of steep granite mountains, glittering fjords and impressive glaciers, offers great opportunities for outdoor adventure.

EAST GREENLAND TOUR, 2017
Tasiilaq is the largest town in Eastern Greenland and the gateway to pretty much every kind of adventure that Greenland offers. The town is only ten minutes by air from Kulusuk with an Air Greenland helicopter, or an hour by boat, if the weather conditions are optimal.
This tour in July 2017 was organized by Hauser Exkursionen, Germany and led by the German tour guide Marina Novikova.
